An amazing thing is made for presentation by Google Netherland on the first of April this year, a brand new invention inspired by the self-operating car: a self-driving bicycle! It enables navigation trough urban environment and provides safety in traffic.
Watch the video and share your thoughts:
“This spring, Google is introducing the self-driving bicycle in Amsterdam, the world’s premier cycling city. The Dutch cycle more than any other nation in the world, almost 900 kilometers per year per person, amounting to over 15 billion kilometers annually.”
Very impressive! This Bicycle does have nice features enabling to use smart-phone to send message to pick me up and pedal adjustment to get more comfortable for stretching my legs. I could definitely work on laptop in that position, maybe play some video game…but where can I scroll my mouse?
Well, I would not definitely let my kids use it to go where and anytime they want without any supervision… Little rascals have school and homework do to and they need to be in bed by 9pm!
Regardless of that, with this genius invention and cool features it would surely improve any city’s economy. But I wonder where do they stuff its engine and batteries? Frame tubes…or maybe crank… bloody hell, that must have been quite powerful engine, if it can prevent my 200 lbs by falling sideways.
Anyways, I am quite curious about the price and availability. But it’s nowhere to be found and for the availability… let’s see: It says “Only available on April 1st”. Strange…hmmm…oh I’ll be damned they got me!
